Carrie Fisher And Debbie Reynolds’ Causes Of Death Revealed

The mother and daughter passed away just one day apart

Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds’ death certificates have revealed the actresses’ official causes of death.

According to TMZ, who obtained the certificates, Reynolds, who passed away on December 28 at the age of 84, died from an intracerebral hemorrhage, also known as a stroke. The document states that she died from a blood vessel that ruptured and caused bleeding in her brain.

Fisher’s death certificate states “cardiac arrest/deferred”, which means the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office are still conducting further tests to determine what caused her heart attack on December 23.

TMZ reports that toxicology tests are being performed to determine if there were drugs in her system that might have contributed to her heart attack.

Fisher died four days after suffering the heart attack on board a flight from London to LA at the age of 60.

Fisher was taking prescription medication to control health issues, and she has been open about her past battle with drug addiction however it remains unknown if she was taking anything at the time of her death.

The mother-daughter duo were laid to rest last week, and Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd gathered her mother’s closest friends and family for a memorial at her Beverley Hills home on January 7.

The pair were also honoured with a tribute at yesterday’s Golden Globes ceremony.
