“Clarence House has confirmed today that, having consulted with his doctor, the Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation,” the spokesman indicated. However, as indicated on the official Centres for Disease Control and Prevention site, “Quarantine for COVID-19 should last for a period of 14 days.”

Last week, the 71-year-old heir to the British throne revealed that he “has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual,” according to a statement released by Clarence House. His wife, Camilla Parker Bowles the Duchess of Cornwall, was also tested but does not have the virus.

“In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland,” the statement read.

“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.”

Prince Charles last visited his mother the Queen on 12 March.

“Her Majesty The Queen remains in good health. [She] is following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare. We will not be commenting further,” provided a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
