Kristen Bell’s Children Donated Their Piggy Bank Money Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

And to a worthy cause

Like many celebrities, actress Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard are doing what they can amidst the growing coronavirus pandemic to help those most at risk. On Wednesday, Bell took to social media to share that she would be donating to No Kid Hungry, an organisation which focusses on feeding children and families in need while schools are closed. But it was her oddly rounded out donation amount that caught most people’s attention.

The Frozen 2 star gifted $150,007.96 to the organisation, which included the sweetest contribution from her two daughters, Lincoln, 6 and Delta, 5.

“NKH has always been there for kids who need them. They work tirelessly to provide food for the hungry bellys [sic] all over this country. I encourage anyone with the means to share to donate as well, any amount helps, so we can get through this together,” Bell explained on her Instagram account.

She then continued, “(The reason the number is odd, is because when my kids overheard me making the donation, they asked if they could also donate the money from thier [sic] piggy bank. I couldn’t have been prouder to add that extra, and important 7 dollars and 96 cents).”

The actress has been extremely active on social media throughout the coronavirus crisis, sharing a mixture of informative and important information and updates, combined with a healthy mix of feel-good stories and memes.

While Bell and Shepard have made a conscious effort to keep their two daughters out of the spotlight, last year the actress shared a candid glimpse into six-year-old Delta’s evolving personality. Posting on her Instagram stories, the Hollywood heavyweight shared a video of her husband and youngest daughter discuss swearing. Kristen can be seen visibly holding back tears of laughter, later praising Shepard for the way he handled the difficult topic, especially in a public place.

Definitely sounds like the type of family we want to be a part of!
