Federal Government Launches ‘Coronavirus Australia’ App

Over the weekend, the Federal Government announced it had launched a new app, Coronavirus Australia, which will provide up-to-date and information, tools and links all in relation to the coronavirus spread in Australia.

Available from the Apple App Store and on Google Play, the app was launched alongside the Government’s new WhatsApp feature.

“[The feature] enables us to talk to Australians in terms of basic health advice, updates on the measures that are being put in place by state and federal governments,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said.

“And that will assist you to get accurate and timely information about what is being done by governments around the country to support you, as you and your family and your household and your community work through the difficult months ahead because of the coronavirus.”

The Coronavirus Australia app would be “a trusted place of advice and information” about the current situation, Morrison added.
