Case in point: she felt “intimated” when meeting Princess Diana for the first time.

Speaking on Naomi Campbell’s all-new YouTube series ‘No Filter’, Crawford opened up about meeting the late royal in the late ’90s.
“I was so intimidated meeting Princess Diana and being at Kensington Palace and just how completely down-to-earth she was because there’s so much protocol I guess, and not being English, I don’t understand some of it,” she revealed.
The model was in London with Pepsi when she received a surprise call from the Princess of Wales inviting her to Kensington Palace.
But what how does one dress to meet a member of the Windsor clan?
“I was like, ‘What do I wear?’ because Diana had a teenage son and I didn’t want to be too frumpy, but this was Kensington Palace and I wanted to be invited back,” the 54-year-old recalled.
As for the mother-of-two, she kept things casual.
“I feel like she was in jeans and a cashmere sweater,” Crawford revealed. “Not barefoot, but almost that vibe of being super laid back.”
“We don’t know where the light at the end of the tunnel is,” she told Campbell. “We know it will come at some point.”
“I’m blessed, I can afford groceries and I think it’s hard to give advice to people because we’re already privileged. I’m very aware that not having to worry about paying for groceries or my phone bill is an amazing luxury.”
