From taking on Kim Kardashian to hanging out with Tom Ford, comedian Celeste Barber is Australia’s hottest Instagram celebrity. In her long-running series called #CelesteChallengeAccepted, she posts side-by-side photos of herself (and sometimes her ‘hot husband’) recreating the internet’s most ridiculous moments. What began as a parody of the fashion industry is now a phenomenon of its own, earning Barber an A-List following and her very own book aptly titled: Challenge Accepted!
When Celeste to appeared on her first ever cover, we had an inkling she might bring a heavy dose of funny to the photo shoot and, oh boy, did she deliver. Not only does Barber star in an original short film – Summer of Celeste shot by Hugh Stewart – she also turned the tables and recreated her own photograph.
Taking to Instagram she wrote: “When no bitch is safe.”
If you’re playing along at home, on the left Celeste is wearing a magnificent Steven Khalil cape and Ferragamo black and gold heels which she switched for a terry toweling poncho and crocs.
Well played, Celeste. We salute you!
