After news broke yesterday of Kim Kardashian’s horrific attack in Paris her hotel room, critics were quick to slam the incident as nothing more than a “publicity stunt”.
The 35-year-old mother-of-two was reportedly bound with packing tape and forced into the bathtub in her luxury apartment by five men who had posed as police officers.
The reality star was unhurt but obviously shaken by the incident, where more than $14 million worth of jewellery was stolen, with her engagement ring believed to be amongst it.
“The loss amounts to several million euros, mostly jewellery. The total amount is still being evaluated,” police said.
Trolls quickly took to Twitter to slam Kim and the reports and to make jokes at her expense.
A number of her celebrity friends including Chrissy Teigen, James Corden and Piers Morgan rushed to her defence.
Kim has since left Paris and retuned to New York, where husband Kanye West had a 15-car entourage on hand waiting for her.
