With news that a female ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ is actually happening, comes news that the cast is likely to include our very own Cate Blanchett.
Last week we heard that Jennifer Lawrence was in talks to star in the film, which will see her reunited with her Hunger Games director, Gary Ross.
Sandra Bullock is believed to be taking on the “George Clooney” role, while Cate is tipped for the “Brad Pitt” and JLaw for “Matt Damon”.
However according to The Playlist, the roles are not actually female versions of the original film but are rather “modeled” after them.
“Neither actress is playing a female version of those characters. Instead, the roles are loosely modeled after the friendship/partnership dynamic established in the Soderbergh films.”
