โ€œGiving birth is a full on thing, itโ€™s beautiful, itโ€™s special, but itโ€™s also traumatic,โ€ she said.

โ€œItโ€™s painful, I would have done anything to have the experience erased from my mind.

โ€œI found it so traumatic come the birth of my second child I actually had counselling to get myself OK to be able to give birth to Evie because I was so scared after the first experience.

Carrie Bickmore has two children, Oliver Lange (nine years old), who she had with her husband Greg Lange in 2007, and Evie Walker (one year old), who she had with her partner Chris Walker in 2015.

She added that for her, the rumour that you forget the pain of childbirth was not at all true for her.

โ€œThey say you forget and thatโ€™s why you go back again. I never forgot.

โ€œThe funniest part, itโ€™s hard to get your head around what actually happens.

โ€œA big thing comes out of a very small place.โ€
