To mark the turn of the decade, the impressive 11th century estate, which takes on the role of Windsor Castle in all three seasons of the hit series, is opening the doors of its King’s Suite for the first time.

A must for Buckingham Palace enthusiasts, the three-room suite was used for visiting members of the royal family with past guests including Queen Victoria and King George IV.

Guests will be offered afternoon tea upon arrival in the very place where the beloved British tradition reportedly originated in the 1840s. But make sure not to fill up on too many cucumber sandwiches, as dinner will be served in the State Dining Room.

The lavish Leicestershire property is currently home to the 11th Duke and Duchess of Rutland and has also featured heavily on screen in the likes of The Young Victoria, The Da Vinci Code and Victoria & Abdul

“It was a great honour to have The Crown filming in our home for a third season,” the Duchess of Rutland previously said.

“We are delighted to have some of the best costume makers and directors using Belvoir and some of our favourite rooms, such as the Elizabeth Saloon, used as replicas for Windsor Castle scenes,” she continued. “We wish this series, as with all the previous series, huge success.”
