Blake Lively Wants You To Stop Celebrating Her Post-Baby Body

The pregnant star says the pressure women face is ‘unfair’

While us mere mortals feel pressure to try and look like celebrities, celebrities also feel the pressure to look like celebrities. And it has got to stop.

In a new interview Blake Lively has opened up about the pressure women face to bounce back after baby, saying “it’s so unfair” and that we should stop celebrating it.

“I think a woman’s body after having a baby is pretty amazing,” she told Sunrise. “You don’t have to have be Victoria’s Secret-ready right away. You’ve just done this incredible miracle that life has to offer.

“You gave birth to a human being. I would really like to see that celebrated,” she added.

Speaking about her new film The Shallows, she says she had to undergo a grueling workout regime  for the action-packed film in which she plays a medical student who is attacked by a great white shark.

“This movie was a physical challenge as much as it was an acting challenge,” she said. “I had to do a lot of endurance training. This was eight months after I had had a baby.”
