โ€œI wanted him to get the colostrum,โ€ Schumer said in an interview with Informed Pregnancy and Parenting Podcast. โ€œWe had a lactation expert come over. He didnโ€™t latch and I just didnโ€™t feel that push to make that happen. Then I pumped for like the first month.โ€

โ€œThen I was like, โ€˜Not for me.โ€™ โ€ฆ This is not for me and I didnโ€™t want to do it,โ€ she added.

The mum-of-one says sheโ€™s happy for those who love the experience, but it was bumming her out. 

โ€œBut then I was also kind of proud doing it and whatever and getting him the milk and stuff,โ€ she said. โ€œThen once it occurred to me that I could stop. I was like, โ€˜Iโ€™m going to stop.โ€™ โ€ฆ And then, every week what I did was just took away one session of the pumping.โ€

Schumer added that the health of mum should be just as important as bub.

โ€œYou matter and itโ€™s going to be better for your baby that youโ€™re okay,โ€ she said.
