Years before filing a restraining order against her estranged husband Johnny Depp, Amber Heard was reportedly arrested for domestic violence after an argument with her then-girlfriend.
TMZ has reported from legal documents, law enforcement sources and court hearings that Heard, 30, got into an altercation with Tasya van Ree at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on September 14, 2009. The Danish Girl actress was allegedly booked for misdemeanor domestic violence after grabbing van Ree’s arm.
After Heard appeared in court the following day, the prosecutor declined to file charges but warned Heard she could reconsider and refile within the two-year statute of limitation period.
As previously reported, Heard was granted a restraining order against Depp, 52, late last month, just days after filing for divorce after more than a year of marriage. In court documents, she alleged that Depp abused and threw an iPhone at her face.
