And 2020 is bringing a new binge-worthy fashion series that we’re sure you’re going to fall hard for. *Especially* if you’re a Project Runway fan.
The premise is almost identical to the OG fashion-designers-in-the-making show – 18 talented designers will compete to become the next big thing in fashion. They’ll be set challenges and will be sent home one by one until the Next in Fashion is crowned.
There’s a $250,000 cash prize courtesy of Net-a-Porter up for grabs, as well as the chance to have their debut collection sold on the luxury e-tailer’s site.
Unlike Project Runway, the hand-picked contestants are not fashion newbies. In fact, some of them have worked alongside designer greats like Alexander Wang and Stella McCartney. But now they’re trying to make it on their own.
The contestants are Adolfo Sanchez, Claire Davis, Angel Chen, Minju Kim, Ashton Hirota, Marco Morante, Charles Lu, Angelo Cruciani, Daniel Fletcher, Carli Pearson, Hayley Scanlan, Julian Woodhouse, Isaac Saqib, Nasheli Ortiz-Gonzalez, Kianga “KiKi” Peterson, Farai Simoyi-Agbede, Lorena Saravia Butcher and Narresh Kukreja.
The judging panel will be a changing line-up of fashion guest judges, including Prabal Gurung, Phillip Li, Christopher Kane, Tommy Hilfiger, Adriana Lima, Beth Ditto and Eva Chen.
But the real stars of the show are the hosts, Alexa Chung and Queer Eye’s Tan France. Their fun-loving, quirky personalities bring something new into the mix and if the trailer is anything to go by, they’re all the reason you need to watch the show.
