Following her winning streak at the Grammy Awards on Monday, Lady Gaga paid tribute to A Star Is Born by inking her skin with two fresh designs paying tribute to songs from the film.
“Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to “la vie en rose” by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose,” the 32-year-old wrote alongside the stunning design which spans the length of her spine.
Fans of the film will know the Édith Piaf song plays an important role in A Star Is Born. When Bradley Cooper‘s character Jackson Maine stops at a drag bar, he stumbles upon Gaga’s character Ally beautifully performing La Vie en Rose onstage and is instantly transfixed.
Gaga (real name Stephanie Giannotta) also inked the musical notes “G” and “A” on sheet lines of sheet music tattooed onto the inside of her arm – spelling out her famous moniker. As she wrote on Instagram, it’s a matching tattoo with her friend and manager, Bobby Campbell, but it did first have a mistake in the form of a missing staff line. However, Gaga quickly amended the tattoo to make it accurate.
