Lady Kitty Spencer left legions of royal watchers speechless this weekend when details from her spectacular Roman wedding to billionaire businessman Michael Lewis were revealed.
The 30-year-old model and aristocrat, niece of the late Princess Diana, wore no less than five stunning ensembles over the course of the weekend, all of which were designed by Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana.
Alone, the stunning dresses were enough to perfectly compliment the milestone day. But the venue, gift bags and the décor elevated the event well beyond our wildest wedding fantasies.
Where did Lady Kitty Spencer get married?
Kitty Spencer married husband Michael Lewis at the stunning Villa Aldobrandini, in Rome.
The sprawling mansion originates back to the 1500s, and formerly housed a famous Roman painting of a wedding scene, the Aldobrandini Wedding. Perhaps the inspiration behind Kitty and Michael’s choice of venue?
Who attended Lady Kitty Spencer’s wedding?
Kitty’s close family were present at her Rome-based nuptials, according to reports. She shares an incredibly close relationship with twin sisters Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer, and her mother and father, Charles Spencer and Victoria Aitken were also likely in attendance.
Along with family, several British A-listers were among those in the guest list. Pixie Lott, Idris Elba and wife Sabrina Dhowre, as well as Made In Chelsea star Mark Francis Vandelli..
Who walked Lady Kitty Spencer down the aisle?
Proving her ever-close bond with her siblings, Kitty’s brothers Louis Spencer and Samuel Aitken walked her down the aisle.
While the role traditionally belongs to the father of the bride, Charles Spencer in this instance, it seems Kitty decided to depart from the norm.
Details from inside
While smaller details from the ceremony and related events are scarce, HELLO! reports VIP guests were treated to luxury gift bags, which awaited them on arrival to the Hotel de la Ville in Rome. The bags, made of straw, were embroided with the word “Baci”, which is Italian for “kisses”. Inside, a range of gifts carefully picked by the bride and groom.
Guests also gave royal watchers a peek inside the wedding reception via Instagram Stories. Picture golden table settings paired with beautiful hand-written place cards, along with napkins featuring the initials of the bride and groom. Enough for a full-blown Pinterest inspo board here.
Lady Kitty Spencer’s wedding dress
If the spectacular venue and décor wasn’t already enough to leave you spellbound, Lady Kitty’s stunning set of Dolce & Gabbana wedding dresses (yes, there were five of them) most certainly will.
Starting with the main spectacle, Kitty’s white bridal gown worn during the ceremony featured a Victorian-inspired lace silhouette with a high neck, long sleeves and peaked shoulders.
To add, a boned bodice with pearl button detailing, finished with a cathedral-length veil.
But it didn’t stop there. She added four more gowns designed by the Italian fashion house to the weekend’s reportoire.
The night before her wedding, Kitty wore a beautiful Alta Moda baby-blue gown featuring delicate tulle and an embroidered cape.
Following the official wedding ceremony, she wore a hand-painted silk gown featuring embellishments of crystals and flowers. For the evening’s events, Kitty opted for a cocktail dress with gold and silver detailing.
On the day after the wedding she wore a Mikado silk dress which featured sequins, flowers and ribbons.
And with that, a three-day spectacle Kitty and royal fashion watchers alike will not be forgetting in a hurry.
