The royal baby countdown is over! Kensington Palace has just announced that the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, 36, has safely delivered her third baby with Prince William. Andโฆ itโs a boy!
The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz, according to the official statement released by Kensington Palace. Prince William was present for the birth.
The Palace had previously announced that Kate Middleton had gone into labour in the early hours of this morning, when she was driven to St Maryโs Hospital in London.
The new edition to the royal family was born in the very private, and very expensive (think $9599 a day), Lindo Wing at St Maryโs, where both Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, were also born.

Baby number three has an impressive title: His Royal Highness Prince of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Not only that, the new addition will be fifth in line for the throne, bumping Uncle Harry down to sixth. A lot of pressure for someone whoโs only a few hours old, but we feel like this little royal wonโt be doing much except for being cute for the next few years.

Congratulations to the happy family!
Now letโs all sit tight and wait for those first official photos.
