Spanish archipelago Ibiza has long been globally renowned for its nightlife. An epicentre of music, art, culture and fashion filled with vibrant people, a hedonistic outlook and a bohemian nature—so it’s no surprise that celebrities chose to summer here post-pandemic.
In the Euro summer of 2021, we saw supermodels Bella Hadid and Cara Delevingne living it up on the best of the island’s beaches—with plenty of fashion inspiration for our own summer to come, might we add.
And then there was mother-daughter duo Kate and Lila Moss who were also spotted in town to celebrate the impromptu wedding of Jordan Barrett and Fernando Casablancas back in July of 2021.
Of course, it’s hard not to notice the distinct style that comes with a trip to Ibiza. It has that sense of je ne sais quoi—with reckless abandonment a prerequisite.
It feels like adventure is around every corner, with the island inviting sun-seekers to indulge themselves in their deepest desires.
The island is undoubtedly an inspiration for free spirits. It’s no wonder that luxury Spanish house LOEWE revitalised Paula’s Ibiza, a 70’s boutique, as a psychedelic collection worthy of wearing all year round.
For the luxury maison’s most recent iteration, Jonathan Anderson has tapped photography protégé Grey Sorrenti to capture the hedonistic spirit of the new collection.
“Different generations have escaped here in a quest for personal freedom, making the identity of the place richly layered. Each summer LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza allows me to explore one of these layers. Right now, I am thinking of Ibiza as an endless party destination, full of freedom and excitement – far away from the throws of everyday life,” Anderson said in a press release.
“The collection is sexy and liberated, with the carefree attitude that is quintessentially Ibiza. It gleams with the sparkle of sequins, skin peaking through short hems, lacing and cut outs. Everything is uncomplicated, cut close to the body, and easy to wear,” explained Anderson.
If you’re anything like us you’ll be itching for an excuse to dress up in the spirit of the vibrant and breezy beauty we’ve all come to love.
