House Of Gucci was the film we simply could not stop talking about throughout 2021 and into the new year.
Given the star-studded cast—featuring Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Salma Hayek and Al Pacino—, incredible costumes and the fact it only premiered in Australia on January 1st, you really can’t blame us for still talking about it.
If Adam in a cable knit sweater wasn’t enough to drive you to the cinema (pun completely intended), you’re probably bubbling with anticipation over the possibility of House Of Gucci being available to stream in Australia.
Luckily for you, that day may not be far away.
Where To Watch ‘House Of Gucci’ In Australia
Thanks to a continuation of their deal with MGM, the production company behind House Of Gucci, the film will be available to stream on Stan this year.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a confirmed release date just yet, but the film officially moves to DVD and Blu-Ray in the U.S. this February, giving us hope we won’t be far behind.
What Is ‘House Of Gucci’ About?
For those unfamiliar with the film, it’s the creation of auteur-director Ridley Scott, and tells the story of the Gucci family as inspired by Sara Gay Forden’s novel, The House Of Gucci: A Sensational Story Of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.
More specifically, the story centres on Patrizia Reggiani (played by Gaga), who married into the Gucci family before becoming ambitiously caught up in betrayal, revenge and ultimately murder.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “the book used the murder to delve into the complex yet dishy family history, filled with infighting, corporate intrigue and gobs of money.”
So, if like us, you love true-crime, messy family drama and fashion, this is the film for you.
