Earlier today, President Barack Obama came out in official support of Hillary Clinton by releasing a web video.
“I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office,” said Obama.
He said that he was excited to be campaigning for Hillary and will be joining her on the trail in Wisconsin next week.
Trump reacted to President Barack Obama endorsing Clinton by sending out a controversial tweet.
“Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary” read Trump’s tweet “He wants four more years of Obama—but nobody else does!.”
Clinton quickly responded by quoting Trump’s tweet and adding the caption, “Delete your account”, quoting a popular meme.
Social media went crazy and within 90 minutes the message was retweeted 145,000 times.
Trump later returned fire against Clinton.
“How long did it take your staff of 823 people to think that up — and where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted?” he wrote.
