Overnight, cult Australian label Zimmermann revealed its spring/summer 2019 collection at New York Fashion Week.
Paisley prints, mustard tones and ’70s designs reigned supreme with the collection, NINETY-SIX, inspired by ’70s Aussie TV drama, Number 96.
“It was naughty and irreverent and hilarious. It was even more appealing to me because as a really young kid I definitely wasn’t allowed to watch it!” creative director Nicky Zimmermann explains.
“It was set in an apartment block of four in Paddington in the inner city of Sydney and explored storylines that were considered taboo at the time – sex, adultery, drugs and homosexuality.”

As with any Zimmermann show, the items on our wish list expanded tenfold, but it was the famous crowd the Aussie label drew that really had our attention.
From supermodels Karolina Kurkova and Christie Brinkley to actresses Katie Holmes, Camila Mendes and Shay Mitchell to It girl Sofia Richie and Aussie Jess Gomes and Jess Hart, the front row was packed with fashion’s finest.

Below, what the front row attendees wore to Zimmermann’s NYFW show.
