ZARA has caused outrage with their new ad campaign, using the slogan ‘Love Your Curves’ alongside two skinny models.
The ad was spotted in Dublin, Ireland earlier in the week, and has come under fire for promoting unrealistic standards of beauty.

Irish television host Muireann O’Connell started the conversation online with this fiery tweet:
You have got to be shitting me, Zara. pic.twitter.com/tiOsJv5AVy

She added, “Can I just say, this is nothing to do with the models. It’s the marketeers that have distorted their image & fucked up.”
She’s got a point too – people should love their body no matter what size they are, but calling thin models ‘curvy’ is not helping the cause.
Other Tweeters had some suggestions for the Spanish clothing retailer’s ad campaign.
Dear @zara, we heard you are in desperate need of curvy models. May we offer our assistence? #loveyourcurves CC @MuireannO_C pic.twitter.com/p1RU7p5zCY

Hey @ZARA I don't have problems with skinny models, but if you want us to love our curves, then use real curvy girls on your ads!

But others didn’t agree, saying we shouldn’t tear down skinny models, who also have some curves.
What's the wrong with you people? Even thin girls have curves… @ZARA #ZaraCampaign #loveyourcurves pic.twitter.com/R6QNDkYYZc
