Blame Dior (or maybe Kim Kardashian…), but the naked dress has moved beyond the runway and red carpet, and onto the aisle.
At least, it has according to Australian bridal label Grace Loves Lace, who have launched a brand new, ‘naked’ wedding dress design in response to demand. The ‘Alexandra’ design features white lace with a nude underlay to give a barely-there ‘naked’ effect.
“The nude-tone lining is definitely for the more adventurous and untraditional woman and also a great second dress option for the reception or after party,” Grace Loves Lace founder Meghan Ziems told Harper’s Bazaar UK.
For everyone else, she says “the women wanting a fresh and more minimal look will still lean toward the ivory/white linings.”
Truth be told, marie claire’s fashion writer Clare Press first forecast the rise of the naked wedding dress in 2016 – read her thoughts here.
