Viktoria & Woods has made its first appearance at Australian Fashion Week this month — a considerable milestone for the brand in its 20th year.
The Resort 2025 runway show, which took place at The Cove apartments in Sydney, was attended by a number of notable guests, including model Gemma Ward, musician Thelma Plum and former Foreign Affairs minister, Julie Bishop.
The Fashion Week debut chose to continue the brand’s legacy as a leader in womenswear, with a focus on fine tailoring and relaxed silhouettes.
While an Australian Fashion Week show is a major deal for the fashion house, it’s only the latest in a string of achievements celebrating 20 years in the industry.
Another notable addition was the opening of a store in Rosebery, Sydney. Opening on Dunning Avenue amid other notable local designers, the luxurious store is a destination in itself, emblematic of Viktoria & Woods’ dedication to impeccable design.
Housing both a classic boutique and an outlet space, the 300 square-metre Rosebery boutique offers an immersive retail experience.
“Evolving our brand and expanding our retail footprint has been an exciting journey,” says Margie Woods, Founder and Creative Director of Viktoria & Woods. “As we celebrate our 20th year in business, the opening of our Rosebery boutique stands as a testament to our enduring commitment to our customers.”
Meanwhile, the brand celebrates the launch of its 2024 Winter collection, Iridescence, which is now available to shop.
Draped silk velvet adds a luxurious element to the offering, while Cupro separates, wool suiting, knitted athleisure wear and washed denim bring it back down to earth.
The collection also sees limited edition leather styles, along with lush merino and alpaca knitwear.
“We’ve noticed the trend of darker hues and corporate attire become prominent this season, and we feel our Iridescence collection encapsulates this, with a nod to further imagining core brand signatures and iconic styles”, Design Director Jane Grimme adds.
