This New York Fashion Week runway season, it seems all anyone can talk about is Kaia Gerber’s inclusion.
Cindy Crawford’s teenage daughter walked her first ever fashion show for Calvin Klein, before opening Alexander Wang’s supermodel-filled guerilla-style show last night.
Photos of the 16-year-old, who just celebrated her birthday and got her driver’s license last weekend, quickly flooded social media, confirming what anyone in the industry has known for years: Kaia is her mother’s daughter.
And what did said supermodel mother think of her teen’s first show? “It was so good,” Cindy told W Magazine.
“She looked so comfortable. I was so excited for her and she was super excited,” she continued.
The famed ’90s ‘super’ then revealed the one piece of advice she’d given her daughter: “I told her, ‘You know what, sometimes stuff happens – your shoe breaks or you trip. Don’t pretend that it didn’t happen – you’ll feel it’. But I knew she was going to be fine.”
