After receiving more than 2000 fabulous entries, the StyledBy marie claire Search For A Stylist competition came to a dynamic close last night.
Three finalists (Yvette Hardy, Sally Mackinnon and Nakita Dorward) competed in a live styling challenge at Macquarie Centre for the chance to take home $23,000 dollars in prizes.
In front of an enraptured crowd, the finalists were challenged to create two looks: one showcasing an outfit that can transition from desk to dinner with ease, and a freestyling look that showcases the stylists own personal taste.
In the end though, there could only be one winner –and judges E! presenter Ksenjia Lukich, marie claire editor Nicky Briger, general manager Jackie Frank, fashion director Jana Pokorny and Rachel Reed Senior Marketing Manager – FIAT unanimously decided it was Yvette Harvey, of @fashionevolve!
“I love fashion and I love dressing up, I love the confidence it can give a woman, so to be recognised like this is really a dream come true” said Yvette of her win.
“It’s just such an honor to be recognized by Australia’s leading fashion magazine doing something I love so much.”
“I really loved how every single finalist had a different style” Added Lukich, “It was tough choosing a winner, but I think Yvette really had a beautiful style, it was really put together, really stunning and I definitely would have worn everything she chose tonight!”
Yvette takes home $1,000 in cash, the exclusive use of a FIAT for six months and a scholarship to FBI (Fashion Business Institute).
