Ladies don’t let the cold weather dampen your mood!

Take to the winter months like a moth to a flame, and create exciting winter ensembles with help from these six must-have items.

Mix and match the pieces or pair them with other wardrobe staples you already own.
For example, style the deep v-neck cashmere sweater with any of the coats, cropped trousers or ankle boots shown below or use it as the ideal basic and try it with a fit and flare midi skirt, wide leg jeans and double breasted blazer.

A Coat
This one’s a given – but what style to choose? This season we love sleek, masculine-inspired cuts like this Oversized coat with a buckle funnel neck from ASOS; this Black Breur Coat from JAC + JACK; or this lightweight twill trench with gathered details from C/MEO Collective.

A Woollen Jumper

A cosy wool jumper can be worn over jeans, a skirt or layered underneath our favourite leather jacket. We love jumpers from Ganni; or try this ruffled jumper from Witchery; or a luxurious option like this cashmere Equipment sweater.

Winter Trousers

It may seem counterintuitive, but a cropped trouser  is the perfect winter wardrobe addition for showing off your ankle boots. Try these wool flannel trousers from Acne; or these (more affordable) pants from ASOS.

A Winter Dress

Go for long sleeves, and a relaxed silhouette (to make room for all those winter roast dinners!) This burgundy ASOS number is cute as a button; and this pale blue TopShop option is great value.

A Wool Scarf

Block colours ensure versatility and will elevate just about any outfit you step out in this winter. Country Road always does a great winter scarf, like this grey number; and we love Rag & Bone’s semi-sheer scarf.

Ankle Boots

A no-brainer. This season’s updates include velvet, ruffles, and a pointy toe. We love this red velvet pair from Sam Edelman, or these gorgeous Burberry quilted leather boots.
