Serena Williams might’ve lost the US Open to Bianca Andreescu over the weekend with friend Meghan Markle watching on, but the tennis star isn’t letting the game get her down. In fact, just 72 hours later she took to the New York Fashion Week runway with her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, in tow.
Modelling her new clothing range, Serena by Serena Williams, the 37-year-old wore a sheer black top with a snakeskin skirt and sneakers, while two-year-old Alexis wore a black t-shirt, grey skirt and colourful Nike sneakers.
During her brief runway debut, Alexis snuggled into her mum, who just showed her new entire collection at NYFW for the first time.
Supporting Serena in the front row were celebrities such as Kim Kardashian West, Ashley Graham, Gayle King, LaLa Anthony, Tarana Burke and husband, Alexis Ohanian.
The Duchess of Sussex, who flew from the UK to the US to watch Serena play in the US Open women’s finals, has already shown her support for the clothing range, wearing a blazer from Serena’s previous range while in Australia last year.
With the royal’s tour of South Africa coming up in a few weeks, we wouldn’t be surprised if Meghan gave one of these runway pieces a whirl IRL.
