Last year, Selena Gomez used the Met Gala red carpet as her official debut with then-boyfriend The Weeknd. The adorable couple photos made for some of the most talked about of the evening.
This year, the singer also made headlines worldwide, sans famous beau, and for a much less cute reason: her patchy and far too dark fake tan.
Fans immediately took to social media to slam Selena’s makeup artist, Hung Vango, who actually seemed quite pleased with the look, if the below post is anything to go by:
“Why did you do this to her?” one person wrote. “Someone needs to be fired,” another commented.
Given that the Met Gala is the biggest fashion event of the year, celebrities usually use the occasion to flood their feed with photos of the night.
Selena? Not one, even though she’s wearing a Coach dress, which she’s probably obliged to post about.
This morning was the first time the 25-year-old acknowledged the event, taking to Instagram to share the below video, captioned: “Me when I saw my pictures from MET.”
Yep, Selena hated her look just as much as you did.
