When we see the British royal family out in public, generally they’re attending an official event either tied to tradition, such as Trooping the Colour (the Queen’s official birthday celebration) or to do with one of the many charities and causes they support. However, once a year, we get a glimpse of the royals off-duty, relaxing courtside at Wimbledon in the royal box.
The tennis tournament, held in London, England, has become a place where the royals can let their hair down and enjoy a day of sport, whether they use the event as a date night, like Kate Middleton and Prince William have done numerous times, or to bond, such as when Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton attended one of Serena Williams’ games together in 2018.
