In October 2024, King Charles and Camilla will touch down in Australia for their first official royal tour Down Under since Charles’ coronation. The trip marks the first trip to Australia by a reigning monarch since Queen Elizabeth II’s visit in 2011. However, this is certainly not Charles’ first time in Australia, as the now-King made several trips during his time as Prince—at least two with Princess Diana, his then wife. Princess Diana made a further two trips solo (or with other members of her family), including one after her divorce from Charles.

Ever the style icon, Diana wore a range of ’80s era sets and stunning gowns during her visits to Australia between 1981 and 1996. Needless to say, each look was iconic in its own way. Here, some of our favourite looks from her time in Australia.
