Walking into Prada’s show space, the crowd was met with low lighting and a set that was one part teenager’s bedroom (there were actual made beds integrated into the seating arrangements), another part Fellini film – walls covered in custom posters and pin-up imagery.
The room, Prada’s usual show space, begged to be explored but the low-lighting ensured there would be no distractions before the show.
The FW 17 collection opened with a look that referenced the brand’s recent menswear show. A melange of colour, knitwear, beading, baker boy caps and retro silhouettes offset by plumes of maribou feathers – all of which kept the fashion crowd on the edge of their seats (or their beds) – from first look to last exit.
