Tear your eyes away from Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Prince George at today’s royal christening (not to mention Meghan Markle’s olive green ensemble): it’s time to discuss pregnant Pippa Middleton’ sartorial choice.
Kate Middleton’s 34-year-old sister had a dress custom-made for the occasion by London-based designer Alessandra Rich, People reports.
“This is the first time Pippa has worn the label and we are delighted – she looked beautiful,” Rich told the publication from Milan studio.
Pippa chose the colour herself – a dusty pastel blue silk crepe de chine – which she teamed with matching hat and silver closed-toe heels.
If the design looks familiar, it’s because Suits actress Abigail Spencer wore a maxi version of the design to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May. Unlike Middleton’s custom design, Spencer’s navy polka-dot dress hailed from the label’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection. It has since sold out.
