The 14 Couture Week Looks You’ll See In Your Dreams

Giambattista Valli’s show included lavish, luxury designs in an ode to spring gardens which heavily incorporated flowers into the looks. The designer explained to his star-studded audience (front row: Olivia Palermo, Celine Dion) that his vision was to “have this kind of freshness of these innocent girls, but with a slightly perverse touch.”

Zuhair Murad’s show included elegant, powdery pastels and floor-length tulle gowns. Backstage, Murad revealed: “When you see the dresses of this collection, you feel that it’s maybe heavy or that there’s a lot of embroidery or ornament, but in reality it’s very light. Women now want to fly, want to feel comfortable, sensual and happy.”

For this show, Largerfeld created quite the spectacle by replicating a life-sized Eiffel tower as the background. Walking down a larger than life runway, the models sported tweed and ruffled dresses in the usual-Chanel tones of black, grey and navy.
