With six nominations spanning across two decades, it would be safe to say Nicole Kidman is an Oscars stalwart.
The Australian actor, whose first nomination came in 2001 for her performance in Moulin Rouge! has delivered the ultimate spectacle to fans and followers ever since—and her latest dress might be her best yet.
This year, the Best Actress nominee arrived wearing a stunning dusty grey/blue Armani gown with her hair styled in an up-do, a bright red lip to finish it off.
In a special anecdote, Kidman confirmed that the unique, difficult-to-pin-point colour was Armani created an entirely new colour just for the garment.
“They dyed it,” Kidman told E! News. “I was like, ‘I really want to wear blue.’ So this was the colour; They made this colour,” she added, confirming the hue was titled, “Nicole Kidman Blue”.
There was also another special element to the design. The moment she stepped onto the carpet followers couldn’t help but notice a similarity (or a tribute, perhaps?) to a previous Oscars look the 54-year-old wore four years ago.
Indeed, the peplum style dress’ silhouette was near-identical to that of the cobalt blue Armani gown Kidman wore to the 2018 Oscars, a look that she has previously described as her favourite of all time.
As for her stunning makeup look, Kidman’s makeup artist Kyra Panchenko shared a full breakdown starting from her primer to that rouge lip.
So which brand did the Australian star have to thank for the majority of her look? Pat Mcgrath, it seems.
Over on Instagram, Panchenko revealed Kidman wore the Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Primer and Perfection Foundation.
She added the Mothership Divine Rose eyeshadow palette the Perma Gel Eyeliner.
To finish, her red lip was thanks to McGrath’s Elson 3 with Blood lust lip pencil.
Kidman is up for Best Actress after her stunning performance in biopic film, Being the Ricardos.
As she arrived at the Dolby Theatre she was joined by her husband Keith Urban, their usual displays of affection on full show for the cameras.
Speaking to E!, the actor revealed the pair were running on very little sleep, with Urban having just flown in at 1am that morning following his concert in Las Vegas.
“I’m just so happy to be here,” she said.
Stay tuned as more Oscars coverage rolls in.
