If there’s one thing to be said of the rich and famous, they have a brilliant array of jewels, and engagement rings are the crowning glory of any collection. So, whose ring is the most famous these days?
A new study from jewellery brand Glamira has found that while there have been many popular celebrity engagement rings throughout time, Megan Fox’s toi-et-moi is the most searched ring online, averaging 17,000 searches per month.
She made the toi-et-moi (You and Me) style come back to the fore once more, since the two giant 6 carat rocks (one emerald and one diamond) were gifted to her from fiancée Machine Gun Kelly. Fox Business reports that the ring is worth $300,000 US dollars (approximately $459,221 AUD).
Interestingly, Meghan Markle beat out Kate Middleton in terms of search interest in her ring. She was given a three-stone ring from Prince Harry, which was made using diamonds from Princess Diana’s jewellery collection. Her ring averages around 12,000 searches each month worldwide.
Unsurprisingly, Princess Diana’s engagement ring, which now belongs to Kate Middleton is the third most popular ring. It’s a 12-carat oval sapphire ring, surrounded by diamonds. The ring was given to Diana in 1981, and to Middleton in 2011, averaging around 7,000 monthly searches.
Other commonly searched rings include Kourtney Kardashian’s oval ring given to her by Travis Barker, Jennifer Lopez’s rare green-diamond engagement ring given to her by Ben Affleck and Blake Lively’s engagement ring, given to her by Ryan Reynolds. Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry also made the list.
