The Celebrities Who Shunned The 2018 Met Gala Theme

Kylie Jenner’s black column dress – accessorised with glittering gold shades she literally couldn’t see through – certainly made a statement, but we’re struggling to see the connection with this year’s Met Gala theme: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.

Karlie Kloss knows how to code now, which means she’s way too brainy to give the Met Gala a proper go. Here she is looking straight-up boring in a simple black gown – gorgeous, yes, but for the Met Gala? No.

Kate Moss opted for an LBD she could easily have already had in the cupboard at home, topped off with some black feathers dancing off her shoulders. Alright then.

Miley Cyrus. Need we say more?

Kendall Jenner is giving off serious Kim Kardashian vibes, care of outrageously long hair extensions, Insta-makeup and a gauzy white jumpsuit.

Gisele Bundchen also eschewed this year’s theme, opting for a slinky metallic gown with gold earrings.

Doutzen Kroes’ tie-dye concoction has a hood, but that’s the only way we’re tying it (loosely) to the Heavenly Bodies theme. There’s always next year…
