Long before Meghan Markle met Prince Harry she was known for her chic sense of style on the red carpet.
But since becoming one half of one of the world’s highest-profile couples, she has made one major update to her wardrobe: British designers.
The Suits star has been spotted in an array of local designers during her time spent in London including Burberry, Mulberry, Barbour and Hunter, to name a few.

Some keen observers have even likened her style to that of (potential future sister-in-law) The Duchess of Cambridge with her love of classic pieces and investment buys, predicting ‘The Meghan Effect’ will eventually prove just as strong as ‘The Kate Effect’ should her relationship with Prince Harry continue.
Meghan has previously spoken about her style both on screen as Rachel in the hit show Suits and off.
“Now what I’m starting to learn is, even though things look amazing on the hanger, it doesn’t mean they’re going to look amazing on me. For example, I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but I don’t have the long torso to support that silhouette,” she told Glamour magazine back in 2016.
“I wear a lot of Burberry on the show, and I wear a lot of Prabal [Gurung] (also a fave of Kate Middleton FYI), because Rachel’s whole aesthetic is someone who comes from money and has a real classic design sensibility. It’s really modern because she’s still young.
“A lot of my personal style is reflected -I like monochromatic and tonal dressing and I don’t generally wear prints, and neither does Rachel now.”
As for her own off-duty style, it’s all about comfort when she’s away form the set.
“On a normal day, I love a shift dress with flats and a little cropped jacket.
“On the show I wear things that are so body conscious, so it’s nice to have things that are a little easier to breathe in. As I’ve gotten older, I like longer dresses, but my legs come up to my ears and I’m not very tall, so when I wear a short skirt I’ve got to be really conscious.”
