We all know and love Kate Middleton for her love of re-wearing her favourite pieces and now it seems Meghan Markle is taking a leaf out of her sister-in-law’s book.
The Duchess of Sussex joined new hubby Prince Harry to attend the wedding of Princess Diana’s niece, Celia McCorquodale, over the weekend and chose an Oscar de la Renta wrap dress for the occasion.
While the high-end dress retails for more than most of us un-royals could hope to afford, she kept it real with her accessories, re-wearing the white Aquazzura stilettos that she wore to her evening wedding reception.
While these handcrafted satin shoes (with ‘something blue’ soles) aren’t exactly budget, we’re all about cost-per-wear when it comes to splashing out on investment pieces.
Meghan also tried Kate’s trick of mixing high end and high street, with her budget-friendly Marks & Spencer fascinator which retails for £29.50 (approximately $AU52).
This isn’t the first time Kate has taken Meghan under her well-dressed wing, before the royal wedding, The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly shared her favourite, go-to designers with the Suits star.
Kate has a stable of designers she loves and she’s recommended some of them to Meghan, a source previously told Vanity Fair.
“Kate’s not the sort of person to get offended if someone wears something she likes or one of her favorite designers,” the source said. “Meghan asked her advice for formal wear and Kate told her where to go. They were also consulting each other on their clothes so that they complemented each other on engagements and didn’t clash.”
