Meghan Markle Will Reportedly Wear Two Wedding Dresses

We would too if we were her...

With just over a month to go until Meghan Markle will walk down the aisle and marry Prince Harry, speculation is rife over all the details of the big day but none more so than over what the bride will be wearing.

While details of the designer are still very much under wraps (Prince Harry apparently doesn’t know either which makes us feel a little better) designers including Stella McCartney, Erdem, Roland Mouret, Ralph & Russo and most recently Christopher Bailey for iconic British fashion house Burberry have all been thrown around.

But what we do now know is that Meghan will wear two dresses on the big day.

Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl writes in Vanity Fair that Meghan will wear “an elaborate yet traditional bridal gown for the ceremony and reception, and a glamorous, more sophisticated dress for the evening.”

A source tells Nicholl, “she will have two dresses, one for the ceremony and another dress for the evening.”

“The plan is for her to change after the ceremony so that she can party the night away in something glamorous and less restrictive. Meghan can’t wait to surprise everyone, especially Harry. The wedding dress itself will be traditional and elegant.”

As for the actual design, the source adds, “There is talk of some lace and sleeves and Meghan has been working very closely with the designer who has been sworn to secrecy.”

Sister-in-law Kate Middleton also donned two dresses for her big day.
