It’s been a busy few weeks for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. First, the couple announced they were expecting their second child, while Buckingham Palace confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not return to their royal roles.
Now, Meghan and Harry have made their first appearance since news broke of their pregnancy, appearing at Spotify’s Steam On event on Feb. 22. Appearing via Zoom from their Santa Barbara home—as Børns “Electric Love” played—Meghan opted for a lemon motif dress by Oscar de la Renta, which InStyle U.S. notes pays homage to the non-traditional lemon cake she and Harry had at their 2018 wedding, created by London-based baker Claire Ptak.
“We’re using podcasting to drive powerful conversations. We created Archewell Audio to make sure that we can elevate voices that maybe aren’t being heard and hear people’s stories,” Meghan said during the event. “And the biggest part of this is to create this community of where you can share, that will encourage everybody else to then share their own vulnerabilities within that safe space,” Harry added.
For those unaware, the duo has a podcast deal with Spotify and will be creating content for the streaming platform that “uplifts and entertains audiences around the world.”
Meghan’s exact dress is still available to shop.

This week, Queen Elizabeth confirmed that the pair have left behind the royal life for good.
In an official statement released by Buckingham Palace, the confirmation read: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed to Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be returning as working members of The Royal Family.”
“Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service. The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.”
