Despite covering them with a coat while outside in the public eye, a pair of black jeans Meghan Markle wore in January are in such high demand the brand has to move to a bigger factory.
Hiut denim, a small Wales-based brand, is the latest to fall victim to the Meghan Effect with co-founder David Hieatt revealing there’s now a three-month wait list before you can get your hands on the future-princess approved denim.
“The website went absolutely crazy,” Hieatt told The Daily Mail. “We have a backorder waiting list for three months.
“We are having two more people in and we’re moving to a new factory. The effect has been remarkable.”
Of course, the Dina jeans (approx $312 AUD) aren’t the first items to be in short demand thanks to Markle.
The coat she wore to announce her engagement to Prince Harry by Canadian brand Line The Label crashed the website and the Strathberry crossbody bag she wore on their first public outing sold out in 11 minutes flat.
It’s official: Treat anything Meghan wears like fashion gold.
