Meghan Markle is a bona fide master at swapping up her outfits, something she confirmed once and for all on Wednesday while wearing two vastly different dresses within the space of a few hours.
Proving she’s the ultimate royal chameleon, Meghan stepped out in a $48 H&M maternity dress in the morning and a $6,000 Roland Mouret dress in the evening, debuting a slew of new items in just the third week on 2019.
Starting off the day at Mayhew, an animal charity the Duchess was made a patron of last week, Meghan opted for a cheap and chic number from H&M’s new maternity line, Mama. The cream coloured knit dress skims the knees and features a funnel neck design. It is currently sold out on the H&M website — no guesses why! Ever the master of high-low dressing, the Duchess paired it with a tonal Emporio Armani coat, a Stella McCartney tote bag and slingback shoes from Manolo Blahnik.
But her affordable staple didn’t last long, with a show-stopping sequined gown quickly making headlines just hours later.
Attending Cirque du Soleil’s Totem in London on Wednesday night with Prince Harry — as part of a charity gala event — the pregnant royal opted for something a little more glamorous, going for a Roland Mouret gown that certainly turned heads.
The elegant navy gown, which is completely covered in sequins, features a leg split, long sleeves and a boat neck cut. Perfect for the five months pregnant royal, the dress retails for $6,289. Meghan completed her outfit with black strappy sandals, a Givenchy clutch and one of Princess Diana’s bracelets. The same one that she wore while in Sydney in October, the gold bracelet features set blue stones and is definitely a statement piece. The London gala event marks the third time that Meghan has worn the style, and we’ve got no doubt it’s one of her favourites.
