When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a public appearance on Christmas Day to attend a church service near Sandringham, all eyes were on Markle’s outfit.
Much like Kate Middleton, everything Markle wears seems to sell out instantly, regardless of the price.
Case in point: Markle’s Christmas Day outfit, which comprised a camel Sentaler coat, Chloe ‘Pixie’ suede crossbody bag, Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee suede boots, diamond drop earrings and a Philip Treacy hat, cost approximately $AU12,908, and most of it has already flown off the shelves.
At the time, we had no idea what Markle was wearing underneath her now infamous camel coat – or how much it cost. Thanks to the wonders of social media though, we can now confirm that the dress Markle wore that day was actually the least expensive part of her outfit – a velvet Club Monaco number worth $AU405.
“A very short-term #fbf to Christmas Day when we got a peek at the lovely @meghanmarkle wearing our velvet Tay dress to visit the royal family,” Club Monaco posted on Instagram.
