The British Fashion Awards were in full swing at London’s Royal Albert Hall last night, and who should swing by for a surprise guest appearance? Why none other than the Duchess of Sussex of course!
Meghan Markle looked stunning in a one-shoulder black gown while surprising London’s style set by appearing on stage to present her wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, with the prestigious British Womenswear Designer of the Year award.
Meghan and her bridal gown designer embraced on stage before Waight Keller thanked Markle in her acceptance speech and praised the royal, dubbing Markle an ‘amazing’ woman.
“This woman is so amazing. I got to know Meghan on such a personal level.” Waight Keller continued, “To have someone like that trust you on such a personal moment in their life… I can’t thank you enough because it was the most beautiful moment.”
While the Duchess certainly wowed the crowd with her sleek maternity style (not to mention casually breaking royal protocol with that black nail polish) Meghan wasn’t the only A-lister who hit the ball out of the fashion park.
