Yesterday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kicked off the second half of their royal tour, touching down in Fiji to begin their three-day visit to the country.
The two spent their afternoon at an official welcome ceremony, the Veirqaraqaravi Vakavanua, in Albert Park, during which the Duchess of Sussex wore a white Zimmermann dress and matching hat by Stephen Jones Millinery.
But it was Meghan’s evening attire that really turned heads. In her first big showstopper look as a royal, Meghan wore a floor-length cape Safiyaa gown in Fijian blue and elegant diamond earrings borrowed from the royal family.
Though she opted to not wear a tiara, Meghan looked every bit a princess for her first official state dinner since joining the royal family, which was hosted by the president of Fiji.
Being four months pregnant meant Meghan opted for a glass of water, instead of the wine others were drinking. And surprisingly, the Duke of Sussex did the same, something he has reportedly been doing for the length of his wife’s pregnancy, according to The Sun.
“Meghan obviously cannot drink during her pregnancy and Harry wants to be there to support her,” the source explained. “When they are in London, they have been spending more nights in together as he cannot go out drinking with friends like he used to.”
