Meghan Markle is proving time and time again that despite being a part of the royal family, there’s one rule she won’t adhere to.
Queen Elizabeth prefers royal women to wear dresses and skirts on public occasions, something the Duchess of Sussex, a feminist since age 11, has reportedly been struggling to come to terms with.
For their upcoming royal tour of Australia and New Zealand, Meghan agreed to switch a Stella McCarney tuxedo-style pantsuit to something more traditional at Prince Harry’s request, however, she’s sticking firmly to wearing pants in the meantime. Case in point: her latest look, an Altuzarra black pantsuit.
For her first appearance at the WellChild Awards with Prince Harry in London, Meghan paired the pantsuit with a black camisole by Scandinavian label Deitas, a black Stella McCartney clutch and a pair of black pumps.
The 37-year-old finished the look with one of her trademark messy buns and a pair of diamond and pearl earrings, which were reportedly a gift from the Queen.
