While many are now turning to Meghan Markle for style inspiration (her Oroton bag has already flown off the shelves), the royal-to-be has paid tribute to another fashion icon.
Stepping out in London with Prince Harry to attend a Women’s Empowerment reception, Markle chose a sleek Black Halo design, aptly titled the “Jackie O” dress. The Suits star paired the dress with ankle-strapped pumps, a Gucci clutch and earrings from Birks.
If you have your eye on the Jackie O dress, you better race to the checkout; retailing at $375 USD, we bet it will sell out any minute now.
As royal watchers are pointing out, Markle’s all-black ensemble breaks major royal protocol as the colour black is usually reserved for funerals.
The previous day, Markle appeared with Prince Harry for the Commonwealth Youth Forum wearing not one, but two Australian designers.
Markle opted for the sharp-shouldered Camilla and Marc ‘Marguerite’ black blazer and Oroton ‘Avalon’ cross-body bag, teamed with a striped Altuzarra day dress and Tamara Mellon heels. Perfection.
