Last night the first ever Make-A-Wish fashion runway show was held in Los Angeles with 18 kids walking the rose petal lined runway after receiving modeling lessons from Petra Nemcova.
The wish came from 15-year-old Stacy who fulfilled her dream of becoming a supermodel for a night. Sharing a snap with her idol Nemcova on Instagram she wrote “Had a blast and a amazing time with one of my favourite models Petra at my fashion show today! Couldn’t have asked for anything better”
The black tie fundraiser was hosted by celebrity stylist Brad Goreski in collaboration with BCBG Max Azria to raise money for Make-A-Wish kids with life threatening illnesses. The event saw past and present recipients and celebrity supporters gracing the runway including Alyssa Milano, Perrey Reeves and included a surprise appearance from Rebecca Black of Friday fame to perform her new single The Great Divide.
BCBG’s CEO Lubov Azria joined the Wish kids on the red carpet before the show began and the joy in their faces is undeniable. Our hearts are melting.
Since it’s founding in 1983, The Make A Wish Greater Los Angeles chapter has granted more than 9000 wishes to children living in communities throughout Los Angeles County.
