If your Europe summer plans include a trip to France, then add Louis Vuitton’s St Tropez restaurant to your itinerary.
The house’s newest culinary destination, located at the White 1921 Hotel, is led by Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Donckele and renowned pastry chef Maxime Frédéric.
And while a restaurant venture might seem out of character for an iconic fashion brand, the menu is guided by the same principles of artisanal excellence and exceptional raw materials as Louis Vuitton’s other fashionable offerings.
Guests in need of a respite from the French Riviera’s cerulean blue ocean can visit the restaurant from 3pm for an afternoon sweet treat headed by Frédéric. An afternoon pick-me-up in the form of a Louis Vuitton embossed brioche and a scoop of sorbet? Don’t mind if we do.
Then, dinner service features a semi-gastronomic menu of fresh and local Mediterranean produce, with Donckele at the helm. On the menu is everything from sushi and ceviche, to truffle-stuffed pasta and Moroccan-spiced lamb.
Plus, in true Louis Vuitton fashion, careful attention has also been paid to the design of the space, from tableware to cushions, incorporating the same blue-and-white tile pattern found in the house’s new ‘By The Pool’ resort collection.
It’s not the first time the house has ventured into food or fine dining. This endeavour began in 2021, with Louis Vuitton’s first ever eatery, Le Café V and Sugalabo V, in Osaka, Japan.
Since then, the maison has gone on to establish themselves as a leader in delicious food offerings housed in artful spaces, with eateries stationed in Tokyo, Seoul, China, Paris, Qatar and, of course, St Tropez.
